THE HARMONY WE BECOME
Oil on canvas, 100×120 cm
The Harmony We Become is a celebration of collective beauty; a vision of what becomes possible when individuality meets unity. Eighteen koi, each adorned in distinct shades of yellow, white, and red, move together through layers of turquoise waters. Though each carries its own color, shape, and rhythm, they belong wholly to the same current; flowing not in competition, but in quiet harmony.
This piece reflects a deeper truth about the human condition: that peace is not found in sameness, but in the embrace of difference. The dark-to-light turquoise background evokes the journey from struggle to clarity, from division to understanding. Within this evolving depth, the koi drift with grace, their diversity not a disruption; but a symphony.
Textured entirely with palette knives, every motion is intentional, every form distinct, yet interdependent. The work becomes both a mirror and an invitation: to see others, to move
together, and to imagine a world shaped not by fear, but by shared belonging.
